BBC Radio 4 is in mourning today for one of its finest journalists and pressenters, award winning Nick Clarke who has died at the age of 58. The Website Homepage at www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/ is mostly black with a picture of Nick and links to his obituary and to a tribute to him from controller of Radio 4 Mark Damazer. Last year nick had a leg amputated in a bid to stop the spread of cancer and in June he returned to work on a part time basis.

After appearing on Radio 4’s Devout Sceptics to discuss her beliefs she was asked by the British Humanist Association to become president of the society, a role she occupied with great commitment from 2004 until her death.
