On Good Friday the 22nd of April, my wife Annette (Farrant), died. She had Ovarian Cancer. We didn’t know she had cancer until she had a CT scan at the end of February. This showed a large mass in her abdomen. Seven litres of fluid was drained from her abdomen and a subsequent test showed there were cancerous cells present.

Just before Christmas our handy goblin cleaner suddenly stopped working. There was no smell of burning so I put it away until I had time to look at it. Last week I stripped it down to see if I could fix it.
Some of the screws holding it together were hidden but I eventualy removed them all and took out the motor. All seemed well but I was only getting 60 volts through the mains lead. The cleaner now has a lead from an old Strimmer and is working perfectly. Total cost of repair £0.00p.

All the UK studios of Olan Mills have closed today and the company is now in administration. Yesterday my daughter took her two son to have their photographs taken at out local olan Mills and last week my two sons had my other six grandchildrens’ photographs taken. Between then they have lost more than £150 pounds worth. My daughter’s friend, Adam who works for the company was told this morning that he no longer had a job.
This is one of a number pix I took last February when I had to visit London. The first time I visited this pub was when I was in the London College of Printing and several of my cousins friends gathered in London for the Motor Show. We failed to get to the show but we had a great time that weekend.
